Welcome to Freak Flag Episode 2, WE NEED TO REST, with Julia Albain!!!! Julia is a gifted Reiki master practitioner and teacher, folk herbalist, and energy healer (among other fantastic magical things), as well as (we don’t mention this in the episode but I feel to tell you) my current pottery bestie here in Santa Fe. (By which I mean we take pottery class together!)

the magic of humans and how we *can & do* create, alongside historical context for the ideas of humans as fatally and terribly flawed and horrible beings
energy and creation, how they’re actually value-agnostic, and creation as a way of life
why the world doesn’t need us to save it
moving beyond the framework of ideas of good & bad
becoming more clear and neutral with language, including beginning to speak from sensation, which opens more possibility
collective body trauma, how at the surface it is these days, and why that is a “good” sign and can be hopeful
what it means to be alive in a “post-healing” society, why that’s actually exciting, and why creation is more important than ever
