my music is going away, a bit more
This is a quick addendum to the most recent Love Blast where I announced that as of Dec 1, 2024, my music will no longer be on the internet.
It’s currently still on most streaming & downloading services, but things will be down by Dec 6 or so, I think. It takes a few days sometimes.
Also, full transparency: My {neurospicy ADHD} brain works best with hard deadlines & outside accountability, so I announced the plan before actually looking *into* and figuring out the logistics 😂, and then Shawn and I both got Covid 😭, which took me out for the week and a half in which I’d planned to *actually do* the takedown. {Not to mention completely ix’nayed the exciting grand Thanksgiving hosting plans we had. For the 2nd time in 3 years, I was in bed on Thanksgiving.}
Ah, c’est la vie!
Things are in progress, just a bit delayed.
Below is a recap/re-post of the logistics of HOW to make sure you have access to my music once it’s gone from generic streaming/downloading:
Those of you who have purchased MEDICINE vinyl—those all came with digital download codes. If you lost yours or never received it or whatever, reply to me here, and we will get you sorted so that you have the digital files of MEDICINE and can listen to your hearts’ content, whenever, wherever, forever.
All physical & digital media {MEDICINE, LOVE SUPERSTAR, dolls ep, Sweet Tune EP}, will *still* be available for purchase in my store, and all vinyl & CDs come with a digital download code or link.
Music you haven’t yet purchased is also available *digitally* on my Bandcamp page until
December 1, 2024the end of this week (Dec 7). It’s also available wherever else you purchase music (for now), but, fyi, Bandcamp gives us artists the most generous revenue share for digital purchases (85%82% versus 66% with everyone else). If money is tight, please get in touch.

💖 a spontaneous piano sketch.
I haven’t been able to play piano or guitar much lately due to a shoulder injury, but after I announced the music takedown two weeks ago, I was working at my studio, and just before heading home, I gave myself a few minutes to gently play what was on my heart. This is what happened.
✨ “to make you feel my love,” a cover of one of the greatest love songs of all time. I posted a video of me playing this song on Instagram the day after the US election, and I like that version so much, I popped the audio into Logic, and did a little mixing & EQ’ing so I could send you this.

I think there will be much more of stuff like this going forward, now that I’m moving my music off of streaming platforms. I feel a totally different level of freedom to just make things & send them to you, outside of a typical album cycle.
